The GIS Department received the 2001 FEMA Region III Outstanding Community Award for our work in Flood Mapping as a Cooperating Technical Partner with Juniata College. It also received the 1999 Governor’s Award for Local Government Excellence in the category of innovative community/government initiatives.

Cooperating Technical Community (CTP) grant to correct Mifflin County floodplains for $37,830 in 2001/2002
$20,000 to continue CTP grant into 2003
